About the work: Lyn Bentschik (*1992) accompanies visitors at the opening of the December exhibition from the Kunsthalle Winterthur to the Kunst Museum Winterthur wearing a neon-yellow, textured full-body suit. Resilient 2.0 is the title of the performance. It explores inner resilience amid external sensory overload.
The suit is covered with earplugs, and the figure moves slowly among the people, repeatedly engaging them face to face. Silence is examined here as a strategy, as a deliberate form of presence, while at the same time offering a critique of constant noise—both in the literal and metaphorical sense.
