DOROTHEA

Solo Dance Performance, 60'

2025

The solo dance performance Dorothea follows the life cycle of a

peculiar creature, part human, part bubble wrap. From the clumsy

stage of a larva in its cocoon, the performance embarks on a journey

of metamorphosis. Exploring human coping strategies for fragile

states, Dorothea gets entangled in these struggles, dances with

them, wrestles, drags them along, and tries to break free by

embracing transformation and the fluidity of identity. What lies

behind the need to wrap up fragility? Could it be seen as a gift,

creating curiosity and excitement to unwrap it?

Dorothea is a Relaxed Performance.
